About Our Church

Our church was started in August of 2003.

  • We first met in the Decker Office Building and stayed there for 1 year.
  • We then moved to the Lake Wylie Tax Service building and stayed there 15 months.
  • We then moved to the Village Harbor Business Park and stayed there 2 1/2 years.
  • We moved to our new location and permanent home in March of 2008!

We had 6 people on our first Sunday.

  • We now have 28 members plus 6 children.
  • We are having 40 to 55 in attendance on Sunday Mornings and about 25 on Sunday Evenings.
  • We have 5 of our young adults who are attending Christian college.

We have met in 3 different locations. Each one larger and nicer than the one before.

  • We could seat 12 in our first building.
  • We could seat 25 in our second building.
  • We could seat 49 in our third location.
  • We can seat 70 in our newly remodeled building.

We strive to be a soul winning church.

  • We have visited hundreds of homes in the Lake Wylie area over the last four years.
  • We give all an invitation to church and a witness of the saving power of the Lord Jesus.
  • We seek to fulfill the great commission and take the gospel to every person in our area.
  • We give all that we visit several gospel tracts.
  • We ask all if they are sure that they will go to Heaven when they die.
  • We ask all, "Do you know that you are saved?"

We study from the Bible in Sunday School, verse by verse.

  • Brother Gary Cofty is teaching through the Epistle of James in the Auditorium Sunday School Class.
  • Mrs. Sorrells teaches the children's class using the Joyful Life A Beka Sunday School Program.
  • We plan to study Philemon and Collossians in Sunday School in the coming year.

We thank God for a permanent home for our church.

  • We have Sunday School facilities for the classes now.
  • We have a fellowship hall for "Dinner on the Grounds".
  • We have families that are faithful in attendance.
  • We have members who are faithful in giving.
  • We have people who love their Lord and love each other.
  • I have people who love me as their pastor.

If you are looking for a church that is a family of believers, you must come and visit with us.

We do our best to:

  • Hear the voice of the Good Shepherd!
  • Understand the will of God!
  • Practice what the Bible teaches.

1 Corinthians 1:7, So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 8, Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9, God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
